Mothers and Heartland High School, a central Ohio recovery high school, are joining forces on Wednesday, Dec. 9 to erase the stigma of substance use disorder among teens.

Substance use disorder is one of the most misunderstood diseases in modern society. With it often viewed as a choice or a moral failing, families struggling with this disease do not get the same support that families coping with other illnesses do.

During this virtual event, hear powerful stories of mothers who are turning their personal tragedies into a learning and healing moment for other parents.

Heartland High School will also bring to light the misunderstandings of substance use disorder, provide resources, and give reassurance that teens and families on the journey to recovery are not alone.
